Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help with a couple of queries;

1. Could anyone let me know what the equivalent to the 'option C printout' would be for us? We're applying from the UK.

2. I recently had to send my citizenship card off to update it to my married name. The one I sent off was a card with a photo, but I got back a certificate with no photo. It does say that it is evidence of my Canadian citizenship, but doesn't match the description on the document checklist. i.e. either a card with photo, or a certificate without photo issued before February 15 1977. I'm assuming that what I have is sufficient, but just wondered if the same has happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
Mandy

*instead of option-c, you can send one letter explaining why couldnt you provide option-c and send some other proofs of your income and financial abilities to support your spouse for first 3 years.

*i think you can provide copy of your old citizenship card also with new one. im not sure about that but you can an additional letter explaining your situation.

Hi,

Thanks for that. I'm sponsoring my husband and daughter so aren't required to complete the financial evaluation form. I wasn't sure what an 'Option C Printout' was. Presumably this doesn't apply to us as we're completing the evaluation form?

You call Canada Revenue Agency and request Option-C. CRA will mail it to you in 5-10 business days for free. An Option-C is basically the same as your Notice of Assessment.

Thanks greenoil. I've never lived in Canada so they won't have any records for me. I was really just wondering what an Option C actually is and what the equivalent document would be in the UK.

Don't worry about the Option C. All you need to do is send an explanation letter along with tax assessments from countries where you have worked. I didn't send it and had absolutely no trouble getting approved. All they want to know is that you are not bankrupt and not in receipt of government financial assistance.

The Option C is basically an assessment of your financial situation.

Thanks for clearing that up Fencesitter. :) My husband and I run our own business so I'll get some advice from our accountant on what to include.
