Hi guys, process is very frustrating and the application hasn't even left Canada yet!
Originally application was sent end of June, and then vague letter about additional documents received. Those were sent in beginning of August. Now September, they are saying it is incomplete again!!! That an Option C tax form and IMM5481 (which was sent in) is needed? Is this normal for spousal sponsorship without dependent children? If I send these in will it be another 2-3 months wait??
:'( :'(

Im not sure about the waiting period. But, yes an option C required even in your case.

Oh gosh.. I wish they would standardize the checklists. The package for the region we are applying from did not include anything about an Option C.

It's buried on the sponsor checklist page somewhere. Not very obvious though. Its frustrating for all of us when we find something missing. In my case we missed the "minor" detail of the medidcals being done with a "panel physician"... so we did meds, but not from a panel physician, which of course they told us that is not good enough.

This is the link to the checklist for spousal/dependent sponsorship. Item #17 is pretty clear. Did you use this checklist and ensure all the items were included before you sent your pacakge?

If they also asked for form IMM5481, did you include the 'Sponsors' portion of the application with your wifes actual application? Both of those sets of forms are sent TOGETHER at the same time in the same envelope.

Oh man, I understand. We went through a whole ordeal with the panel physician (only one in the whole country...).
Ahh bureaucracy..

Yes, I included the 5481. I believe I got confused about the income portion because I was under the impression that it was only in the case of dependent children. Thank you for link..
