Option C for 2012/13, can I apply with this??

Hi all,

Getting ready to send our application off. I ordered my Option C print out and it is for the 2012 tax year (filed in 2013, of course). I have filed taxes this year (2014 for 2013) but they CRA has not yet completed the processing of them, so the newest Option C they could send was this one. Will I be denied as a sponsor if my Option C is a year old and not the NEWEST 2013/14 year Option C? I have no taxes owing and will not owe any this year either.

Hi,

I was in the same boat, I did not have Option C for 2013 fiscal year. I supplemented my application with employment letter, pay stubs for the entire year (all 24 of them) and T4 for 2013. The application was approved.

I did write a covering letter though saying, I was waiting for CRA to process my application and to accept the above documents in lieu of Option C and going by the approval, looks like they did!

you won't be denied for sending an old option c. you may be asked to provide an updated one or you may not. if you want to get your application in, send with the old one, and order the new one to have just in case it's requested.

Same thing happen to me... I sent the older ones as they were the only available...
I sent paystubs, letter from my different works, and all my sources of income for the
previous year in detail....
My sponsorship was approved...

I hope that they will accept yours also,
but just make sure that you send enough documents to prove your sources of income.
