I plan on submitting the PR application for my wife (I'm the sponsor), this month. However, when I requested Option C, they only gave me 2012 year because I haven't filed my taxes for 2013 yet, because my employer does not give out the T4's until March. Should I wait until March to file my taxes and get a new Option C for 2013? Or is the 2012 one still usable?

You sure? Because the CIC says I should submit the most recent taxation year. BTW I notice the Option C I ordered doesn't say Option C anywhere, it almost looks like a notice of assessment, is this normal?

They are aware that most employers don't give out T4s until Feb/March. So, technically, it is the most recent taxation year. There must be a burn time or else we would see a trend of returned applications or document requests from Jan-March

As Graihn said, 2012 is still considered the most recent tax year. I believe that it won't be until after April 30th, the due date for filing 2013 taxes, that 2013 will become the most recent tax year.

Grab page 1 of 3, and take a look at the lower left corner. Does it say RC-143? If so, then it is the correct Option C... :)

Submit the available Option C, and attach the letter of explanation of the reason why you cannot submit the most recent Option C, also add any other the proof of your income in 2013 - like pay stubs, investments, etc.
