Hi,

I just got a new job in Quebec under open work permit ( based on my spouse’s study) . It is an NOC level A job.

Question:
1. what are my opportunities to get a PR ?
2. Will my work experience be counted under CEC ? If yes , after how many years ?

thanks

1. In Quebec, without french get a VJO from your employer, get a CSQ then go for PR under QSWP. With french, 2 years experience (under new rules, I guess), CSQ and PR then.

2. Yes but you got to move out of Quebec once you get CEC invite. Experience - 1 year minimum. IELTS also required if not opting for french test. Unlike last draw where everyone was invited, scores usually are above 450.

All the best!
