Guys, I am in a very peculiar situation which I need some feedback on.
My company had filed a H1 petition for me and it went through in the lottery. However, I need to land in Canada before January. My overall plan is to work in US for sometime (7 - 8 months) and then, in the meanwhile, get me some time to search for a job in Canada and then move over. If I can latch onto a job before that, then, I will still just move over.

However trying to save on some flight charges if possible.
So, my question is -- Is it okay for me and my spouse (on H4) to first go to US, and then over a weekend, go to Canada to validate my PR and then return back to US? I would probably give my relative's mailing address for the PR cards to be delivered
OR
Is it required for me to first go to Canada (at my own expense) and then go to US?
Please help.

You can go to the US and then complete your landing in Canada from there.

YOur suggestions and help are appreciated.

You just have to wait after that. If you haven't paid your RPRF at the time of e-APR submission, IRCC will ask you to pay that. You might get a schedule A request if you answered yes to one of the statutory questions or if there are gaps in your personal history section.

Good luck and all the very best!

Hello Raj, Thanks.

I have already paid the RPRF and the visa fees at the time of doc submission. After which CIC asked me to get the FBI PCC certificate by Sept 22nd.

Hello Guys! I just received my OINP Nomination and waiting for an ITA.
I'd like to inquire about the PCC, I had my OJT in Singapore when I was in College, sometime in Oct 12, 2006-April 11, 2007, it was roughly 6mos.Do I still need to provide PCC for that? Please advise. It was almost 10yrs ago and still a student then.

Thank you for your help in advance. God bless

Congrats on your nomination!

You would need PCC from all the countries that you have stayed for 6 months at a stretch or cumulatively over a period of time since you turned 18. It does not matter whether you were a a student or working.

You can check the requirement here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/invitations.asp

Drop them a polite email if you have already received your AOR enquiring status on your application. Mention only your application number in subject to get earliest response. Good Luck!!

This is a tragedy. Send them a fax telling that you have not received an AOR yet. The odds are that your AOR might have been sent to someone else or you somehow missed it. Either way, fax them a letter requesting a copy of your AOR. Provide them with an e-mail ID too.
