Hello everyone,

My employer pre screening is approved and I am going to apply for nomination under international student with job offer. I have issue with passport.

1. it must be valid for at-least two year ? my passport is expire in oct 2017.

2. I am not able to submit my passport right now because deadline for nomination application is 26 dec 2016. and as it would take at-least 2 month for renewal.

what should i do ?

I would suggest applying for the nomination with the expiring passport and write a letter of explanation. Then renew your passport ASAP and send a copy of the newly renewed passport via email and courier.

Also try giving them a call and/or emailing them. The officers are the best people to answer that question.

I have the similar problem. I submitted my nomination on June, 2016 and my passport expires on Aug 2017. I wrote a letter stating, I cannot apply for new passport as Indian embassy accepts application for new passport if expiry is less than 1 year.

After submitting the application, I applied for new passport. Once received, I submitted it to CIC. Received nomination in 3 months from the date AOR received.

Just to give everyone an update, I have received yesterday the physical copy of the Confirmation of Nomination and it says here that the nomination will expire in 6months. It means to say, I should receive an ITA before that happens.

There's a page on the CIC website that provides a year end report for 2015. Look for that, you'll find it helpful.

It will give you an idea how do they do the draw for ITAs.

I am not 100% sure what is the process for applying for extension. like which work permit am i supposed to apply for and what documents i need and stuff like that.
and I am not working with a lawyer, so i'll really appreciate if you can let me know the process your lawyers suggest.

Can someone please guide me on employer pre-screen form. I am preparing my application for employer pre screen and require the assistance on following issues:

The company accountant says he doesnot know about:

"141 (Accounting Practitioner Information) for the past three years." instead he gave me 1100 three years


Secondly,
On employers guide it says that "Note: Employers may submit other evidence
to support the number of employees with
their company (i.e. Ceridian or ADP report)
in lieu of a T4 Summary."

my company doesn't have Ceridian or ADP report but instead my company requested CRA for PD7A, is it going to be acceptable?

Additional Docs requested: February 19, 2016
Documents sent/assisting officer first and last called: March 17, 2016
CIC Profile Expired: September 14, 2016
Created new CIC Profile: September 29, 2016
Provincial Nomination Letter: November 7, 2016
Provincial Nomination Letter received: November 8, 2016
Invitation to Apply: November 16, 2016
Medical Exam: November 21, 2016
AOR for PR: November 24, 2016 (paid for both fees, 1040.00 CAD)
Current Status: waiting for PPR

I got my nomination approved on Sep 09. I dropped my PR application documents recently. I have a question regarding work permit extension. Current PGWP expires on Aug 02 2017. How do I get extension. You went to Niagara to get extension, right? I few questions.
1. What documents do I need to take to the border?
2. Do I need to pay any fee?
3. Do I need to apply for any permit online in CIC before going to the border?

Hi,

If your are going to the boarder do not apply online. Otherwise they will tell you to wait for a decision.

Documents list:

1. Job offer documents
2. Current Visa
3. Copy of the PNP nomination.
4. LMIA exemption fee receipt (if not applicable you must have employer fee receipt)
5. Work permit support letter(if OINP gives one)


Bring the money for the wp fee.

The fee was requested. I didn't do yet and they didn't requested when fee was requested.
I asked my lawyer, and she said that they could still ask for medicals.

I went to the border(Rainbow bridge, Niagara) to get the new work permit. The officer told me that they will not issue any new work permits at the border. Guys, can you please help me on this? How did you get the permit, which border and what is that permit called? Any information is helpful.

I told them/showed them that I got the provincial certificate and I am here to apply for the new work permit to extend my stay until I get my PR. 3 officers discussed the scenario and told me that they will not issue work permits here. You have to apply in CIC website.
