Ontario PNP Applicants 2014

Hi,

I have a quick question. I've got my masters degree from Carleton University in OCT13 and I've been working full-time in a High Tech company since Dec13. I'm going to apply for Canadian PR under new Express Entry system. I noticed that a provincial nomination is a significant asset in the new system, I wonder if I can use my old job offer to apply for Ontario Nomination and any steps required (e.g pre-screen application). Should I contact the company's HR to initiate the pre-screen application?

I submitted my Ontario PNP application on Sep. 9, 2014 under the stream of International MSc student without a job offer (I graduated last June). I am currently living in Canada. I received my file number (File # NMAS-14-2529XXXX) on Sep. 17, 2014. They did not ask for any thing, and I did not hear from them since then... Is this normal.

Opportunities Ontario: Provincial Nominee Program has met its 2014 target of 2,500 nominations. Applicants can still submit their applications under all streams. However, because the nomination target has been reached, Opportunities Ontario is unable to issue nominations for the remainder of 2014.

Nominee applications that have been received but have not been finalized in 2014 will automatically be placed in priority for finalization in 2015. Any application received after October 31, 2014 will be assessed as part of the 2015 nomination target.

It would be great if all OPNP CIC applicants who applied in 2014/15 share their timelines here.
Especially the ones whose cases got delayed and have started to get AOR's now. Today we heard
the good news about moy7 getting AOR.

I applied last year for PR in Feb 2014 after getting OPNP Certificate. My timeline is as follows:

PR Application received: Feb 2014.
Medical results were received: April 2014 by CIC.
Application again started to be processed: Jan 12th 2015!

Hoping to get passport request soon!

Seems our applications are at the very bottom of some officer's desk. I wish someone would tell us what the heck is going on!

I have waited until now for more than 4 months for the file number but still haven't get it. I am really worry about my case now. I am wondering normally how long it takes to receive the file number? Anyone received it recently? Please share the timeline!

Hi Daniel,

Most of us have been experiencing the same issue. I got my PNP certificate in July 2014, and sent my PR application to NS as they officially received it in August 11th. At some level I know that they sent my application to the office in Ottawa (from the emails they have replied so far) and that's it. I guess we all have to be patient and take whatever it takes to avoid the consequences of delay for everyone.

Hi all,
I have a quick question. A little trivial but still important to me.
I have 3 passports(2 old ones and my current one). I am about to submit for the OPNP Masters graduate.
It said to submit copies of every page of my passport.

1. Should i submit every page of my 2 older passports as well? (Thats like 50+ pages of documents by itself)?

OR
Can i just submit the relevant pages of my older passports (stamps, visas etc)

If it is a question that has been asked then my apologies, but believe me, I searched seriously for a thread with an answer but could not find one.

It means copies of your existing passport. Old passport info they usually do not request.
