3) what is the scope and future of your field in Canada?
4) what would you be doing in 6 months after landing in Canada?

6) show your passion about Canada

Hi Pals,
I'm a FSW backlog nominee with ND as my VO. I recieved my 1st AOR this month and now wating for next AOR and next steps.

Now, I may need to travel to US with my family. Is there any cons of doing this? One of my friends, who was immigrant some years back, has suggested me against it as I may be getting 2nd AOR & MR etc.

But this process is taking forever and ever. Already more than 8 years and going by exp. of other people, I'm loosing faith in canadian immigration. So, I don't want to loose a good opportunity. But at the same time I also don't want to loose PR after waiting so long. And, I may not have a choice also as the work requirement is there. So, asking for suggestions.

Has anybody been in a similar situation?
Do I need to inform CIC about my travel? I'll be traveling from my current employer. Travel may be for 2-3 months but may go upto 1 yr also.
Where can I get the MR done?
When do we need to send passports to VO and how long do they take to return passports?

Also as an aside can someone tell me what tests are conducted for MR?

Appreciate your help in making an informed decision.

Are you travelling on Work Visa ? H1/L1, if yes it should be any issue. You need to update CIC about it.

Dear Hadeel

You presented my words. It is now going torturous wait. After One and half year i just have a nomination page only in my hand. A damn full stop is put on the way. No MR, No correspondence from CIO and LVO no approval intimation. I became sick of opening my email daily morning with a hope of having MR request. BUT there are nothing but bullshit spams.

I can not plan to move, i can not assess what to do in coming 4-5 months. i can not think or do anything for new in life and profession except this bloody wait.

Sorry for harsh wording.

Thanks for the reply. It will be on L1 in case my spouse is traveling with me or L2 in case I'm traveling with my spouse. It will be as per the final opportunity/decisions by our employers as both of us are getting the opportunities.
For canada application, I'm the principal applicant and my wife is dependent.

Do u see any issues in case I travel on L2 as there may be change in my employment and I'll then have to inform CIC about that also.

To my fellow kababayan from Manila, what is the meaning of LCR birth certificate? Is this the same as the one in NSO?

Its absoltely fine, L1 is intra compay transfers, so technically you not changing your job at all.
