Malisa,
I am also residing in the US on H1B and want to apply for the OWP. Wanted to know what are the visa conditions after yo get it.
I know that the OWP is valid for 2 years but within how many days after receiving the OWP do you have to travel to Canada.
Is it necessary to travel to Canada immediately to keep the the OWP active or you can wait for 6 months and then travel to Canada.

I think there is no time frame in which you have to enter Canada. The visa is valid for 2 years. Yesterday i call to Manitoba office and asked about the entry after getting the work permit, but the lady told me that within two years you can enter any time.
You please ask with someone else also, and if there is restriction please inform me. But i am damn sure that you can enter after six months, i have searched many forums but didnt find anything aout time limit because on my passport visa is stamped for two years.
As such there is no conditions, you can do any job with any employer..........not like your H1B. you can be even self employed.

Do you know that from Canada, how many days it takes to stamp visa for USA, because my husband is on H1B and wants to stamp USA visa by making entry in Canada, do you have any clue?

No, they didnt ask me for PCC. You just follow the checklist of Newyork consulate.

I and one of my friend received medical request after 14 days

but for the time being , my one friend apply for MR on 17 feb but still he is also waiting for his MR
