Hi, i did not shown my wife's income as she is not working just included house ownership proof in canada of my father in law.
My balance was around AED.13k. and i show car on my name.

Following are my details....

Application file date

I HAVE to travel to Canada on 25th December (airlines tickets booked). Is it feasible to get the passport in hand before then or am I being too optimistic (considering the processing times). I have traveled to Canada several times before.

Hi Trin congrats..

Could you please let me know what are the documents you included in your wife's application. I am preparing application for my husband to visit me here in Canada for our wedding anniversary in January.

Hi,

Its our wedding anniversary. It is one month that we stated in the letter as duration of stay.
We showed good ties to India. As she is working from past 2 years.
Financials are same. A little more explanation on the money we deposited in her bank account for the purpose of travel. We explained where the money came from.
And rest all the documents from birth certificates to bank statements, job offer letter to pay slips. relationship proof marriage certificate and photos from our wedding.

I would recommend you to take a look at the online application. There are different sections like Financial proof from sponsor, Financial means of support from India, Proof of relationship, Proof of medical exam, letter of invitation, Purpose of travel.
I've filled all the documents that are mentioned as required proof for each section in the online application.

If you need more detailed information email me. I can help you as much as i can.

Hope this helps.
All you have to do is a nice invitation letter that is very pleasing and convincing to the visa officer. Also never forget to write a letter from your spouse why she is travelling, purpose and why she will not stay more than the time she was intended for.
I've also included a letter of explanation stating all the documents that I've provided for each section that are required online. For the ones i couldn't provide I've given a brief explanation.
I think this helped a lot.

Wish you guys all the best.

Hi,

I have applied for TRV

1) Application file date : 02 NOV 2015
2) Application Started Date : 02 NOV 2015
3) Passport Received Request : not applicable
4) Country of residence + Country of citizenship : INDIA
5) Passport request date : not applicable
6) Approval date : not applicable
7) Passport sent date : not applicable

Only once i got a mail saying that my application has been updated, later i did not receive any mails regarding it. its going to be almost a month now.
Could anyone let me know what could be the problem or they have kept the application on hold for some reasons?

@suji21

It's just a little over 3 weeks since you applied. There were also holidays for Remembrance Day and Diwali apart from weekends.

There's no problem nor will the visa office keep your application on hold. Perhaps, there's a backlog for processing TRV applications due to the holidays. So don't worry

Thanks Bryanna for looking at my query. I'm worried because I could see few applications have been processed those who applied after me, which I could see from the posts here. So more concerned on whether it was on hold. But yeah since its just 3 weeks m waiting for a positive reply.

@suji21

You're welcome :)

Every TRV application is unique and hence, processing time will differ.

TRV applications are not put on hold.... sometimes the visa office may request the applicant to submit additional information/documents and this can delay the processing..... or sometimes the *delay* could be because the visa office is running background checks/has sought information from external agencies.

Hopefully you'll get a decision soon

Thanks again Bryanna. Hoping for the best
