Hello friends,
plz help me my timeline is:
online apply 23 oct 2013
passport request and send date 8 nov 2013
passport rec by ottawa office 12 nov.
plz tell me when i can get my passport back, i have flight on 16 dec to india

Online Application: Oct 3, 2013.
Passport Request: Nov 5, 2013
Passport received at CPP - Ottawa: Nov 6, 2013
Passport received with TRV: Nov 20, 2013

I see few of you have similar timeline.

When did they activate Xpress post tracking number..?

Currently I am in Canada. Can I apply TRV online along with family members (wife & kid who are also here with me) who are on Visitor record? Someone was telling me that you can not apply online with dependent family members who are in Canada with visitor record.
So just wanted to check if someone applied online successfully with similar case.

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me when do they activate the tracking post? Here are the details of my application.
Passport request: Nov 5
Passport received by CPP: Nov 8

Since then, I haven't received any news/updates and I always check the tracking number of my xpresspost envelopes. I am from BC and I wonder how long it takes to return the passport because I have a flight this coming friday, Nov 29. I am really worried.

@k_manu, are you located within canada? I saw that we have a pretty close timeline in sending the passport. Thanks!

I had applied online for TRV on September 6. I have not hear back yet. It has been more than 75 days. :-(

Xpress post tracking was activated a day before I received passport which is Nov 19 in my case.

when I chose the option of type of work permit "I HAVE work permit restricted to some employer"
it ask me to upload "EMPLOYEMNT RECORD"
Can somebody help me what is this employment record?

Employment records that i uploaded where my contract,LMO,letter from my employer showing that i still work with them(include start date and salary), notice of assessment,and T4. Basically, just proof of your employment .

my question is do you get your TRV after uploading these documents ?
I just have my job offer letter,contract and last year 2012 T4 .
Does it gonna work or no?????????
and i have ROE from previous employer which is issued by canada post .so can i upload that ROE or no??????????

Everything took a little over a month. Here's my timeline

Sent TRV application: 11/11/2013
Passport Request: 21/11/2013
Passport sent to CIC: 25/11/2013
TRV&passport Received:13/11/2013.

My tracking number was activated 2 days ago.

I'm sure you'll get it soon. Just be a little more patient...at this point, you can only wait.

Thats great man, congratulation it took you a month and 2 days.
I submitted my paper application on October 26 they received it on October October 29th and till now I have had no response from them. Its been 48 days!! I emailed them 4 times and I keep calling the call center agents but they seems to know nothing about Ottawa office. I did put an urgency on my application on Friday 13th of December to get my passport back to me as I already cancelled my tickets that I had booked for that day (December 13).
I need to visit back home as soon as possible, its really very urgent I have provided them with my details too. I can't seem to find a way to contact the Ottawa office, thinking for going there in person on Wednesday 18th- but doesn't look like anyone had any success with that till now. Any suggestions??
