Online status and mail differing

Hi

I applied for my Parents' TRV online and I got a letter asking to send passport. My parents went to VFS Chennai and submitted the passport.

Funny thing is- For my father's tracking number, we got an email stating the passport is forwarded to Delhi.

But for my mother's, online status says passport is forwarded to Bangalore.

Which one to believe?

How can my father's PP go to Delhi but my mother's go to Bangalore (I applied online for them together in the same application file).

It is possible. CIC opened a new center in Bangalore. I had my passport sent once to Chandigarh even thought i thought it would go to Delhi

The new consulate in Bangalore provides visa services for South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, AP, Kerala, among other states). So, as your parents submitted their passports to VFS Chennai then most likely it was sent to the Bangalore Visa Office.

Your parents will get their passports back in 1-2 business days after it is processed/despatched to VFS Chennai/couriered to them regardless of whether it is processed at Delhi or Bangalore

There are only three reasons which I am guessing:
Has your dad applied earlier for a Canada visa/PR?

Secondly, which city do your parents live in/their permanent address as one is supposed to apply at the nearest VAC?

Thirdly, perhaps the volume of visas being processed at the Bangalore VO is currently high, and that's why his passport was sent to Delhi

Hi, I applied for my mother in law's visa online. She is living in Chennai. Application submitted on Jan 2nd. I was thinking it will go to New Delhi. I didnt know there was an office opened in Bangalore. I am not seeing any update on the online application. Application status still shows Open and no further updates after that. It has been more than 1.5 months. Please advise if anyone heard of similar story.
