Online payment: transaction not approved

I have been trying to pay online and it keeps telling me transaction not approved. I am using a cibc visa debit card. Please help me out here. Thank you!!

Use a credit card or call ur bank to confirm about using your cibc debit card for online transaction.

Is it possible to use a prepaid visa credit card? I don't have one yet but if it is possible I ll go get one soon. Thanks

I guess it should work technically.

Maybe cic accepts only the ones issued by banks.

I used a prepaid credit card from japan and it worked just fine.
