Online ECAS Application Tracker - Update ???

Friends,

I have sent my application on 09/09/09, On TNT courier package tracking system it shows, the documents were received by CIC on 10/09/09!

How long before CIC update the eCAS system with updates such as "Application Received" etc..??

Anyone?

Can one see the status of Ecas without receiving AOR? If yes please let me know the steps to involve to seen it?

You need to have a file number provided by Canadian Immigration Authorities which starts with B********. Then only you can check the online status. Time for waiting at CIO is now 3 months

How does it work... some receiving it faster and for some taking ages?? Is it based on NOC or some other critaria ?

Only if you already got a student or work permit from CIC, in this case you can use client ID rather that immigration file id.

Since january the timeframe to get the AOR has increased from 1/2 weeks (up to march) to 8 weeks (july app).
Mainly because # of applications which transit by NS Sidney has increased.

And do they send AOR / Rejection along with file number ??
