Hi Folks - Anyone know what the next steps are if one doesn't receive their citizenship certificate 4 weeks after the oath? Do we just submit a solemn declaration to IRCC or apply for a new citizenship certificate? Note that the latter costs $75 and takes over 15 months - and according to the application form, it does not apply to people who have never received their certificate.. (unless I'm mistaken)..

Any inputs from people who have faced this situation, or know of those who have, would be helpful...

TIA

I passed the test April 16th, everything in the tracker is complete but the oath.

I requested GCMS notes yesterday to try and find out why there's been no activity for 6 months.

I'm brushing 4 months now and now further updates after test...I tried calling IRCC, but the response was that timelines are being impacted by COVID and there is priority on the Afgan crisis so they are unable to go in my file to provide any additional details.

Hey there,

I passed the online test on June 18. A couple of days ago, I checked the application status; everything was updated to the green (except the oath). However, it still shows the status "in progress". I checked ECAS, but it seems like they do not update my profile after March 2020.

Has anyone experienced the same?
My last update in ECAS was Aug 2020 but nothing after that

Applied June 2020, AOR in Jan 2021, Citizenship Test taken July 02 2021, Test marked Complete July 09 2021. Been 3+ months since and no updates still. Saskatoon office. The wait is getting rediculous.
Standard SLAs pre-COVID based on my understanding is 3 months, however, your guess is as good as mine during COVID. The IRCC contact centre was unable to provide me as well...timeline that is
