Ongoing PR process with restoration of work permit

Hello everybody

I was reading this forum. found very useful. Thanks to all of you for sharing. I too need some guidance at this stage.

I was waiting for my Sinp and my work permit expired in feb, 2013. Now I want to apply restoration with Sinp approval (march) and job offer letter. I already applied for PR in March 14, 2013. I was wondering if the restoration will effect my PR process? I have stopped working. but don't have status as applying for restoration. please friends guide me. I am confused and worried.

apply for restoration of work permit as soon as possible...do it online..usually its quicker than paper application..ideally it should not affect your PR application..cic would ask you to submit your new work permit...

yep Gaurav I did it already. waiting for AOR now.
The thing is I have applied for an extension of work permit. I called CIC call center and they said they never received my application. I have a proof of fee receipt which i paid online.
And due to to unawareness that my application has not been received, I was working. I immediately stopped working the day i realized. So i am afraid that i worked during this period, which is illegal :-[ :'(

yes i did it before expiration. 2 days before expiration. It reached them itself on the day of expiration. so they said i need to restore.
I was not aware of the fact and worked for 1 month thinking i was in implied status.

what should i do now? should i inform the matter truly in application and explain myself or just not to show i worked illegal :-X ???

Do they come to know if i worked illegal for a month ??? :'(

Why you have to do restoration? Your extension request was there on the day of expiration. They will accept it postmarked the day before expiration. Where is your application now? Already returned?

Because when i talked to cic call center agents, they told me it can not be accepted. it may have chances of rejection as it is valid only if it is received prior to expiration date of work permit.

I have not yet received the package back ??? ??? ???

I think you should look for what your current status is. If CIC call center does not help you at all, then you can appeal to your local MP office. They could speak to CIC on behalf of you. If you get implied status, your worry is gone.

did u confirm with more than one cic call center guys .....because i know from my experience u get different response sometimes...

When I apply online with the new CIC interface, it asks me to create a Personal Checklist .And when I create it , I dont see option for restoration .

Form: Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker (IMM 5710)
you need to answer the questions that will create your checklist and a code. you can then use the generated code to submit an online application.
