Hi friends

Please help me with one short query, if I receive the study permit for 1 year period, is it ok to have 1 way air ticket? Becasue I dont know when exactly my study will finish, the APPROXIMATE duration is 1 year.

I am not sure if the airlines make any problem if someone has 1 way ticket only.May be some experienced guys who already traveled to canada with 1 year ticket may share their thoughts on this.

Or you also may know someone who went there with 1 way ticket and share the info.

By the way, what is the common practice for study permit/student visa holder to canada, do they normally but 1 way or return ticket?

Thanks friends, looking forward for some response from you.

Hi Ppl,

Even I have the same question as Oronno has.. in my case it is 2 years of study.. I read in this forum that it is not mandatory to have a return ticket given you are unsure of the return date... I do not know if not having a return ticket is a concern for the airlines or canada immigration. Could some one please clarify for me and Oronno...

Thanks...

Hello,
Per my experience, one-way ticket for students has not been a problem. I am sure it will not be a problem for you too. Now, just make sure your funds will be enough to cover your return ticket on top of all other expenses that you need to show proof of.
