One mistake during the Canada high commission call

Just to be more clear. Are we not required to update CIC of any change that happens with our situation. And do we need to do this for spouse as well?

Only if that 'change' makes a material difference to your application. In this case, your spouse's employment status makes no difference to your CRS points and/or program eligibility so it is irrelevant to your application.

I have not shown it while submitting the application, even though my wife was working from before.
Will this be considered as misrepresentation.

Also if CIC asks about submitting the document. What reason I can state of not providing it, as offer letter will have December 2015 date, while I submitted application on Feb 2016.

i don't think so you should write to immigration dept. regarding your wife's job. it'll make your case complicate for them to understand and they might put your file on hold for more investigation.
One thing i want to ask that did you receive call from embassy in your country or from CIC in canada ?? i mean did u speak to local guy who works in embassy or any Canadian ???

the whole discussion is not about wife's employment. It is about the lie he told on phone. employment may not be required but contradicting your own application detail does make diff.

I received a call from Canada High commission yesterday.
they asked series of question which I replied.

At the last they asked that whether my wife is working.
She was on a contract job at that time and joined on 7th Dec 2015, I submitted file on 16th Feb 2016. Since she was planning to leave the job suddenly and just to not have any bad feedback from the employer I wrote unemployed.

But during the call as it was all sudden I said that she is working.
Now I am in dilemma that should I write an e-mail to my VO saying that while filling the form I forgot to mention my wife's job and am updating the same.
Or should I leave as it is and not take any action?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

The whole purpose of calling an applicant is to find out for any contradiction with the application you have sent. you have made a mistake but lets hope the officer dont consider it to be a blunder. just pray for that mistake. things will be okay. good luck

Thats not a good way to start migration... but i think they were checking you, not her.. so it will pass.

Unlikely. Because concealing that fact doesn't change anything in your application in terms of program eligibility and/or points. Misrepresentation involves wilful defrauding of the system to improve the chances of success on one's application.

Unnecessary but probably have no impact on your application if you choose to satisfactorily explain that you have provided relevant information in each section so there is no concealment of information.
