Hello ,,,,
I have read all the members threads, and I would like to ask advice from you about my case.
1- I did sent my citizenship application (family application) in September 2014. We got our PR in July 2008 and we moved to Canada in June 2011 after we left UAE through Jordan where we spent two months with our families ( our passports show that our visas has been cancelled from UAE at Airport)
2- I have full time job in the hospital since 3 ½ years here in Canada till present , my kids in the schools and this will be the 4th year for them in the same school in Canada ( I have attached all of their school records in the application also my wife`s letter proof of volunteering in the community

3- In the application we included a report from legal translator in Canada about the stamps in our passport ( Exit /entry)

My questions

A- Do I have to obtain Exit/Entry Report from UAE only or from both Jordan and UAE

B- Can we obtain them now or when they call us for interview ( as we are new citizenship applicants and it may take a year or longer before they call us)

Of Course we are not planning to leave Canada even after we applied for citizenship as we are totally settled

Thanks

I am not an expert on exit/entry stamps. I would suggest that as long as they don't ask you, you don't need to obtain them. From what others have said that they examine your passport at the interview, so if you have not travel stamps after 2011, then you might not even be asked for an entry/exit report. Are you originally from Jordan? I hope that helps answer your question.

Thanks a lot for your response ,,,,yes I am originally from Jordan

we had only one trip to Jordan this year 2014 before we applied for citizenship ( summer vacation) do you think this a reason from them to ask for a report knowing that we absolutely met the 1095 days even more

imadiq, if it is easier to get entry/exit report from UAE and Jordan and if it is worrying you to much, you can obtain it and keep it handy with you. On a side note, I would not worry about these entry/exit reports.. I notice ppl just over-worry about things on the forum. As per CIC website 80% of applications are finalised within 24 months. Your vacation should not be a problem. Good luck !

Absolutely nothing to do with the citizenship application. The same letter of final exit was sent to my brother also, but he being the sponsor has been living in Canada for more than 10 years, so he did not submit any final exit. This is just a "general" requirement, not something you have to show mandatorily. .. as long as you can prove that the sponsor has his/her life in Canada.

ZZW, is this what you got ? :

""Evidence of your sponsor's intent to resume residence to Canada:
Subsection 130(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that: “A sponsor who is a
Canadian citizen and does not reside in Canada may sponsor a foreign national who makes an application
referred to in subsection (1) and is the sponsor's spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent
child who has no dependent children, if the sponsor will reside in Canada when the foreign national becomes a
permanent resident.”
Therefore, your sponsor must provide evidence that he/she will permanently reside in Canada once your
application for permanent residence is approved. Such evidence may include:
- a copy of your sponsor's passport with his/her cancelled Gulf residence visa;
- if your sponsor is residing in Saudi Arabia, a copy of his/her Saudi “final exit” visa;
- a copy of your sponsor's resignation letter and proof that the resignation was accepted by his/her employer;
- proof of payment of your sponsor's end of service employment benefits;
- any other documentary evidence you wish to submit.""

Yes this is exactly what we got..but the sponsor in my case is living abroad and hes a citizen. so this means the principal applicant doesnt need to provide proof of visa cancellation?

ZZW, which country is your sponsor living in and which country is he a citizen of? If he is not living in Canada and he is not a citizen of Canada.. then he/she has to show some proof that he/she will be living in Canada with you after you leave Saudi Arabia.

..... hes a citizen. ...

Nothing to worry then....except moral sides of doing so!

Hey he is a canadian citizen holding a canadian passport..applied for me through family sponsorship /spousal case....currently living with me in saudi...upon issuance of immigration visa Abu Dhabi Visa office has asked to cancel the residence permit or u can say final exit for my sponsor to show the intention to move back to canada...my question was that ok fine we will cancel the permit and make the final exit but u know in saudi it can be cancelled and i plan to keep him with me for few months before we make a final move to canada. .what i was asking is that 5 years down the lane will it matter to cic that my spouse didnt move there and then when i was offered immigration????. .obviously we will complete our citizenship requirements and only then will apply for cirizenship

Im sorry I cant understand the rules here, but how can he stay with u after visa cancellation? If u cancel the visa and stay illegal ... it can have its own reprecussions which I cant predict, but this will not matter to CIC for citizenship application as long as you and your sponsor do move permanently to Canada before the expiration of your landing visa, which is 6 months from issue date. Hope that helps.

See when you make final exit for a dependent in Saudi. you have the option of cancelling that final exit before they leave saudi. Lets say someone mistakenly made the final exit..so the kafeel (which would b the husband in this case) can cancel the final exit.

So you are basically saying that you will show the final exit to ADVO and the once u get PR visa , sponsor will cancel his "final exit". Basically you are trying to manipulate your way. I DONT recommend you to do this. Such a step is unethical, dishonest and is not the Canadian way. If caught the repercussion could be huge. Cancel your sponsors residence and goto Canada forever. Are you originally from Pakistan?
