On study permit..applied for visitor record in error

Well, that changes things. You are a visitor in Canada. I hope you haven't been studying, as that would be illegal. If you are studying, you need to stop ASAP. You need to apply for a new study permit. Unless you meet any of the exceptions, you can't apply to change your status to student. You would need to use the outside Canada app.

Wow this us serious but I called the CIC office and they said they have noted on my file that it's a mistake that I can continue till the officer responds on my file.

The Call Centre can't authorize you to study while here as a visitor. You need to apply for a study permit.

Hi Adebola, I've found myself in the same situation and had multiple sources tell me it is fine to hold a visitor record and another permit at the same time. How did this situation resolve for you?
