Hey Eagle,

I finally got PPR on Feb 8th after waiting almost 12mnths (4days b4 1 complete yr). I do believe that the refugee processing within Canada did in fact slow down or play a role in the processing of spousal sponsorships (especially those put in in Feb and March 2015) because my visa office has already issued over 11 PPR's in Feb month alone. Apps that went in from Feb-April have gotten PPR and now late April apps are receiving PPRs, usually based on our past trend and stats for KVO, PPRs for Feb and March 2015 apps would have been given in Nov and Dec 2015. Nyhow, I hope there will be a lot of PPRs in the following months for every VO. PPR dust to all!! ;D ;D ;D

Thank you Cece0225 for the update and congratulations on your PPR. I like your bottom signature which I will always recommend to those who loose sleep over things they can easily control.

Hello sweet_ivy32,

That is a good thing to hear that you made it safe to Canada. However, the sad part is that Quebec seems to me a nightmare for a lot of people. I lived there for 2 years thinking that since I was born and raised speaking French it would be the best place to live but I was mistaken. I had to move toward the west until now. The French I speak is not the same they use there. So I decided to keep it pure by leaving Montreal to Edmonton than ending up speaking like the native Quebecois. Well, I am sorry that you have to keep your single name in Quebec.

Live,

visit my other thread: " GCMS NOTES WELL EXPLAINED HAS NEVER BEFORE UNTIL NOW" read first post on page 1 you will get more than what I could answer to you right now.

Hi Eagle333,

I went to my MPs office last week to understand the reasoning I haven't heard anything from MVO. I have been in great disappointment as 2 people with spouses from the same country as my spouse had their applications processed in the same VO were approved before my spouses PR. One submitted a month after mine and the other 2 months after mine was submitted.

I went to see if they could do anything. I was relived that they were able to call the MP office in Ottawa and they were able to look into my case notes and tell the person from my MP office that my case notes looked positive, there was no concerns noted and there was nothing noted in regards to an interview. The only thing they were waiting for was the background check to start on my spouse.

My spouses medical expires next week and I am worried that we may have to redo them. Also, why does someone get they're background check done before others. I understand they wanted us to go back and submit the Sche A form for questions 8 & 12 becsaue they wanted information to go back all the way to 18 years of age. And this was noted that it was received in our case notes as the MP noticed while reading our file.

When would this background check be completed you think and how long will it take?

Thanks again for your time.
