Ok now I see. It was not Visa Office requesting extension as I said before, things were a bit blurry. Now it clear that SPR, PA or Lawyer if you have one might requested that extension. Your GCMS notes also said that medical documents were sent to PA's address. Shoot them an email to request those medical forms because time is going. If visa office sent those document, remember they might have assigned 30 or 60 days to respond to that request otherwise it could lead to a refusal.

Wait so these have been sent to the PRINCIPAL APPLICANTS ADDRESS??? so he should have them ??

He didn't receive anything in the mail yet or email. I sent a specific enquiry to LVO just now. I'll post their response when they reply

Whatever you are attaching in the e-mail is too big. You need to lower the size of your attachments.

Eagle333,

I posted some time back asking for your opinion about my wife's timeline. I had ordered GMCS notes on Nov 16th but yesterday they became (somewhat) irrelevant as my wife received a passport request and 2 photos as well as current mailing address and Canadian address confirmation.

As it turns out the Mexico City VO called our house on Dec 1st and spoke with my wife. They told her that they are trying to get an extension of the medicals, but if they can't would we be prepared to travel to Mexico City to get medicals done again as her medicals were set to expire on Dec 16, 2015. We of course said that we would indeed go for re-medicals if required. They said stand by for an email in the next 2 days for instructions. Well, she got PPR Thank God! They extended her medicals and the PPT REQ says the visa will be valid until 2016/12/01. (my wife is young and in good health)

I have 2 questions;

1. Is that date format December 01, 2016 or January 12, 2016. I believe it to be December 01, 2016.

2. Based on their words to my wife, "We are trying to get your medicals extended", it is my theory that the VO consults with the panel physician who did the original medical examinations to see if they are willing to extend the validity of the medicals based on the results of those original examinations. The opinion of the panel physician then determines whether or not they will extend and for how long. Do you have knowledge of how this is determined? Would you tend to agree with my theory?

I sincerely thank you for taking the time out of your life to help people on these forums. You are very kind!

Hi CANZANILLO,

Congrats for such good news. Here are answers to your 2 questions:

1. Your medicals were extended until 1st December of 2016

2. Your wife visa office did not contact her panel physician, instead they contacted the Canadian Regional Medical Office where your wife's medicals exams were sent by the physician. The RMO did reassessment of her last medical which are in the database.
