I submitted a PR card renewal application (Change of Information — name correction) through the PRSON portal on March 19, 2026. My case involves an administrative name field correction — not a legal name change.
Current status as of today (April 20, 2026 — Day 31):
PRSON portal — COPR row: surprisingly after 2 years, my Status changed to "Closed and Accepted" on April 17, 2026 from the status " in process with ircc"
PRSON portal — new PR card row: Still showing "Submitted" with no update. Json shows status id 20.
GCKey linked application: No update at all — still showing old card as active
My questions:
Has anyone with a Change of Information / name correction application seen "Closed and Accepted" on the old COPR row? What happened next and how soon?
Is it a positive sign for my Application?
Any experiences with why suddenly 2 years old copr field in pr portal will change ?
Did GCKey update before or after you physically received the card?
Background for context:
Application type: Change of Information (name correction)
Submission date: March 19, 2026

No ADR received
No emails from IRCC
