For the ADR the officer's initials were EC, now for decision phase the initials are GD. I am very hopeful that we will have our nominations soon. I still stick by what I told you in an earlier post (i.e. by December 9th we will have our nominations).

The Express Entry system was updated on November 19, 2016, and several improvements have been made that may affect you. It is important you read the information below to see how you may be affected by these changes.

What do I need to do after I read about the changes to the Express Entry system?

Not everyone will be affected by the changes to the Express Entry system.

If you think you are not affected, there is nothing you need to do.

If you think the changes to the Express Entry system listed below affect you, these are your next steps:

Step 1. Log into your online account and update your Express Entry profile by answering the new questions we added to the system.

Step 2. After you update your profile, the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) will update your score.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***

Regular invitation rounds will begin again in the coming weeks. If you are affected by the changes, you should update your Express Entry profile by December 12, 2016.

All CRS scores will be updated before the next invitation round.

These changes to the Express Entry system are now in effect:

A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) will not be needed for certain job offers. Many people in Canada with an LMIA exempt work permit will be able to carry that LMIA exemption under Express Entry if they meet certain conditions. This will allow more candidates to receive CRS points for their job offer and meet the program requirements of the federal skilled worker class and the federal skilled trades class.

The number of points you can get for a job offer has changed.

You can earn a total of 50 points if you have a valid job offer in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0, A or B occupation.

You can earn a total of 200 points if you have a valid job offer in a NOC 00 occupation.?

A job offer now only needs to be for a minimum of one year from the time you become a permanent resident.

You can now earn CRS points for study in Canada above high school.

You can earn 15 points for a one- or two-year diploma or

You can earn 30 points for a degree, diploma or certificate of three years or longer or for a master’s, professional or doctoral degree of at least one academic year.

You now have more time to complete an application for permanent residence if you get an invitation to apply.

Applicants will now have 90 days to apply for permanent residence, instead of 60 days.

I am updating the list by AOR date and within that people getting nomination later are being added at the end of that day's list. For eg Damchandu and Onemore10 have received AOR on 4th but one has received nomination in Jul whereas the other is on 2nd Dec.

I am new to this forum. I have one query:
I submitted my profile on 28th feb. But since I recieved no response for next few days and also did not know that Ontario has stopped sending PT notification, so I resubmitted my profile on 19th March. On May 9th we came to know that Ontario is not accepting applications in their pool.

So my question is that will Ontario send PT notifications to people who were in pool till May 9 and will then start accepting applications? OR will we be in the same boat as all other new applicants?

Guys,

I have just received the nomination!

However, there are two concerns:
1st: My EE profile is about to expire (dec 4th). Should I wait until it expires and then create a new one? And what about the nomination? Should I accept it right away?
2nd: I have received another massage saying my profile is not eligible. It doesn't show my score. It looks like systems problems... Anyway, has anyone been through this?

What did you end up doing? my profile is expiring December 18 also, and im not sure if you can re-submit it before December 18, and what happens if you get a nomination before that... Do you accept it then delete the profile! ugh so complicated!

My ADR email made reference to updating my NOC on my EE profile, which I did. My profile became ineligible when I changed my NOC, so based on advice I received from OINP, I created a new EE profile and sent the Profile number and Job Validation Code to them.

So don't stress. Contact OINP, explain your situation and you'll be fine. I'm sure you'd have to do as I did and recreate your profile and inform OINP of the changes and the reason for the change.
