Hi All,

I would like to share my current status and get your input, suggestions, and recommendations.

My PGWP expired on August 8, 2026, and my spouse and I returned to our home country on July 31, 2026. We are still waiting for an update on our OINP application. I applied through the OINP Masters Graduate Stream, received an invitation, and have already submitted the set of documents.

I would like to ask whether we need to inform or update IRCC that we have returned to our home country, particularly now that my PGWP has expired.

I would appreciate any guidance or recommendations you can provide on what we should do next.

Thank you.

Yes you should always update your address an other contact information.

Web form will do.
The web form is asking for my application number. Where can I find it?

I tried checking the PR Portal, but it does not show my PR application number. I can only see the documents that I submitted. I also reviewed the email I received from IRCC after submitting our PR application and paying the processing fee, but I could not find any application number related to our PR application.

Should I tick the box stating, “By checking this box, I confirm that I don’t know my application number”?

Should be okay. But better have it.

Could you please confirm whether I need an AOR in order to receive my PR application number? I did some research, and based on what I found, the application number is issued along with the AOR once IRCC has received and processed the application.

Have you even applied for PR or are you waiting for nomination approval still. Inform OINP that you left the country.

Already applied, invited, submitted the required set of documents, and also paid the fees.

I reached out and updated IRCC through web form regarding my current residential address. Is that enough or should I do something else?
