OINP French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream - timeline question

Hi members,

I have seen on the OINP HCPS topic that there is one guy who sent his application mid of July and received his AOR approx. 1 month later. I have noticed that the reply from the OINP was in French ...

So, i have a question ... have you submitted your package (I mean the OINP forms and letter of explanations etc ...) in French or in English ?

Because despite I have read many times that HCPS and FSSWS seem to be treated the same way without distinction, I was just wondering that maybe OINP receives only "few" packages in French (compared to the huge quantity of applications in English) and therefore these applications in French are directly handled by OINP officers able to speak/communicate in French ... (as I do not believe that all the OINP officers are bilingual ...) and then could potentially accelerate the timelines of the applications in French ... or maybe this guy is just lucky ...

Maybe some seniors in the FSSWS could advise the language they used/use for their communication with the OINP ...

Hi Aniclb,

In the other FSSWS thread, 2 guys mentioned it is most likely the NOC that counts (rather than the language of application) and thus, can potentially improve the timelines of application process ...

Je suis de Asie du sud, mon langue maternelle ne est pas la anglais ni français, j'ai commence a apprendre français depuis 4 mois et je suis deja qualifie dans FSWP. (min 67 points)

Je suis deja bien a l'anglais. Si je prend le examen TEF et marker assez de points ( CLB level 7), vais-je avoir le nomination sur French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream ??

Salut et bravo pour ton français, après 4 mois c'est déjà pas mal, concernant ta question, ONTARIO t’envoie une expression d’intérêt (attention c'est différent de la nomination) quand tu aura CLB 7 en français(TEF) ET CLB 6 en anglais(IELTS), après tu envoie ton dossier (ton diplôme, les preuves de ton expérience de travail...) et si tout se passe bien tu aura la nomination.

Thanks a lot for your response. Well, i put something in French so that you guys may get my learning ability (in 4 months) & guess if i can archive CLB level 7 in French in the coming years if i study hard everyday.

What specifically i wanted to know is, does everybody who is qualified under FSWP & have the minimum language requirements in both languages may get a nomination ultimately ? Or still there maybe applicants whom they will refuse to offer a nomination for some reason even if they meet all the language & FSWP requirements?

I am asking this so that i can continue putting my time & effort on learning French. I spend 20 - 60 minutes everyday learning French.

1st of all ... good job ! nice level in only few months ... it's even better than many French speakers I know when they learn English (still after many years of English practice ...)! Keep pushing and you may reach (or even exceed) the CLB7

Regarding your question, after reading tons and tons of posts and comments on this forum, it seems that, providing that you still meet all the language & FSWP requirements AND if you submit a full application with all the required documents + forms dully completed (and extra information/clarification upon OINP's request) within the required period, there is a very good chance to receive a nomination from OINP. Now, the only concern is the processing time to receive this nomination ... But this is another story ...

Even if it may not work for this OINP process, if you really want to immigrate to Canada => keep learning French as it can open some opportunities (job, more point for CRS, etc ... etc ...) in future (we never know ...)

I will continue to learn French, if the French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is closed for forever, by the time i reach the necessary level that will be pathetic! But i continue to learn because as you said it will benefit me in other ares too.
