Where r you from? I got my online today, I'm from Brazil... Now I need a certified translation
We are neighbours: Argentina. (I don't like football, so I have no problems with you for being Brazilian :rolleyes:)
In theory, I can also get it on-line, but the web page to have it has an error and doesn't work properly. I have an appointment at the consulate next Tuesday (Nov 12).
Do you have a translator? I used one for my job letters that worked very well and was cheap. If you want I can give you the web page.

The status is still in submitted status (application was submitted on 09/25), already 40+ days passed. Should I be worried?

No the processing time they give is 60-90 days, so you are on time

No I am from last 55 days all most:rolleyes:.. stay strong...

Oh man, did you call them? Last time I called, I was told that application status will get changed whenever it gets checked for the completeness.
It seems the process has gone severely sluggish over the last few weeks.

Yes they told if they need any documents they mail me... That's it

@chivinas --> Please stay with us an guide us for rest of the PR process. Please let us know if you find any surprises in PR application.

One surprise that hit me is Indian police clearance certificate. They put my spouse one on hold for manual verification from India (In US now). Its been 30 days already and no progress on that. I suggest everyone to apply for Indian police clearance ASAP. Its quite a manual process. UK one was completely streamlined, online and was a breeze. Takes about 15 days for it to be in hand. Yet to apply for US one, hope its easy too.
Keep us updated on that as we have to follow you on this police and other process, why did you already started did you already get the Nomination from OINP?

In many ways, yes, its the same, but with a big difference. --> After 2 years, you get PR cards one day in your letterbox in Canada. In US, you will get them some day in your letter box too, but you probably would be celebrating it with your grand children :p:p
TRUE :eek::oops:

Well, there are two outcomes of the nomination.

1. Nominated --> I can submit the application, virtually, immediately and start my 19 month countdown. Police clearances are valid forever, well, atleast for a year. Nomination wont take a year to come.

2. Nomination Rejected --> Police clearances are not very expensive anyways. If I got failed to be nominated for whatever reason, I will just keep the certificate as souvenir or may be use it in another method of application, later. Does not hurt (as opposed to unexpected delays in submission of PR application).

The CIC website clearly encourages to start "now".
