OINP Application sent in March 2016

Seems, OINP has checked all the applications for Feb/Mar, as most of the applicants inquiring

about status of their file, got reviewed and accepted message. Let's hope, OINP quickly issues AOR's to remaining Jan applicants. :'( :'(

I have not received any mail from OINP but my package was returned for the reason that the quota has been exceeded and that OINP is no longer taking any applications.. How can this be considering my application got to OINP on February 29,2016?

I feel really bad for you @marlone29 but the reason that OINP gave is even more shocking considering they were sending out invites till 16-Feb-2016 and people were given 45 days to apply after that.

You applied under which stream (Masters, French, Federal Skilled Worker, CEC etc) ?. Are you Inland or Outland ?. When did you receive your OINP Expression of Interest ?

There are more than 30 applications in received in March.

this is so sad. You should raise a complaint why would they send back if they gave PT until 16 Feb

Well it seems your application reached beyond 45 days of time limit, or for some other reason it is been returned. Application reached in March have been reviewed and accepted, so exhausted quota may not be the reason.

1) You may ask your sister to take a snap of the OINP letter and share with you over whatsapp, much faster and will save you DHL courier money as well.

2) You may want to read OINP update of May 9, 2016 when they actually announced that quota is over. (Go to http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html and search for "May 9, 2016"

I am applying under FSW Outland... PT was received Feb 8, 2016 and Application was submitted Feb 29,2016 (OINP Human Capital Stream)

Lately all those whose applications have been returned, The first part contains the reason of returning the application ( may be ECA not sent as it was mandatory, or DD prob etc) and than in the second part it says that you cannot resubmit because the quota is exhausted.

So please update us with exact email to clear the doubts of march applicants.

I just received their reply. My application is still in queue(danger).


Dear Sir/Madam,

Your application package has been received in our office and is in queue for review by an officer.

Due to the high volume of applications being received, Acknowledgement Letters may take longer to be issued.

If your application is complete, you will receive the letter from OINP by email to indicate that your application has been accepted for assessment.

If your application is incomplete, your package will be returned to you by Purolator including the payment.

Please note that if you are in Canada, it is your responsibility to remain in legal status throughout the time while your application is being processed by our program.

Do NOT submit any documentation to this office until you have received a formal acknowledgement letter from PNP advising that your application has been accepted for processing and advising you of your assigned file number.
