OHIP rule

Hi,

There is one rule that everybody has to follow in order to get the OHIP after landing.
This one:

be physically present in Ontario for at least 153 days of the first 183 days immediately after establishing residency in the province

Which basically means you can't be out of the province for more than 30 days in the first 6 months of landing.

My question is what if you have to leave for 2 months and then come back?

I guess I won't get the OHIP but when will I? Next year? or the 6 months will start counting again after I come back to Canada? (Although it says 6 months after first landing).

Thank you!

It is possible that you will restart the clock and apply again.
