Hi,

My husband has still not received his letter for the second landing appointment. My Drivers License is still going to take 4-6 weeks before it arrives....but we had already signed our lease three weeks ago (before the CIC Office did not complete the landing appointment)...so now we are moving from Ontario to Quebec. I understand that my husband can drive with his Ontario drivers license for 6 months....but what about our vehicle registration? In order to register a vehicle in Quebec you need to first have a Quebec drivers license. What can we do if my husband cannot exchange his Ontario drivers license for a Quebec one because he has not received his PR card? I only have my Ontario G1 Drives license..will be taking my G2 test soon....but does the Ontario G2 drivers license exchange for the Quebec one? Also will my husband's immigration file transfer from Ottawa to Montreal when we move if the Ottawa office has not managed to schedule the second landing appointment for my husband. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Thank you for the link, but on the link it states any document issued by CIC authorizing you to stay in Canada. My husband has an open work permit currently authorizing him to stay in Canada. Does this count?

Is the document issued by CIC authorizing him to stay in Canada?

Did you take up on my idea/query when I asked "what if you moved" to another province so you can avoid the wrath of Catherine st

No because we had already signed the Quebec lease on May the 8th and the Catherine Street incident happened on May 21st

I have sponsored my husband on a family class application not on a skilled worker application.

So if your application has been submitted it won't move just because you do. You do need to update your new address as soon as you can.

I have already both on the CIC online site and i have mailed 200 Catherines Street a copy of the lease and request for hydro service in Quebec.
