Offer of employment - LMIA

  1. Hi,

    I received AOR on 23rd June 2016. And I m processing my application under LMIA and job offer.
    Employer gave me the Offer of Employment mentioning the commencement date as 01st August 2016.

    Since it takes around 6 months PR evaluation process , what should I do ?

    In this case will they give priority to my application and process ?

    If I am not getting any update before the commencement date (01 Aug ) in the employment agreement, do I need to ask for a new agreement by extending the commencement date which would be bit cumbersome ?

  2. An LMIA is not just good for PR. You can also use it to apply for a work permit if you want to go to Canada sooner.
  3. What is your area of expertise. I am seeking a company that does LMIA but no luck as yet.
