Hey there, hope anyone can help me with this.
My off campus work permit expired last month, the same day as my passport.
However, my original student permit was issued for the length of my program and not for the length of my passport. So my student permit is valid until AUG 2016.
My student permit doesn't say anything about working off campus because it was issued before the june 1st 2014 rules, but it does say 'may accept employment on the campus at which registered in full-time studies'
so i went to service canada and they extended my SIN number until next year, even though my student permit didn't have the amendment
so my question is, do i still have to apply for the amendment? is it REQUIRED to have that amendment even if you already have a SIN number?
