Besides if their holiday began on December 22nd, how did others including myself get charged today?
Because it takes time. Between the CIC request to charge and actual charge at your bank it takes 2-5 days. So CIC requested on 19th and you bank(CC) charged on 23rd.

I do not know exactly if CIC works today. I only remember that cut off day for appications for 2014 was Dec 19. That is it. SO I assumed they do not actually work on the applications.

Hi Thanks, Yes i see that those are already capped. But when the application had reached CIC , there were only 500 completed applications.
But my application package is not yet returned. So i am still hopeful. what do you think on i t?

Could you explain what you mean the cut off date and for what. I sm confused

Hi canadaprseeker
thats what i meant to say. It usually takes any day between 60-120 for a file to go through the completeness check. Fee is taken after that check if its not capped yet. MI files are complete files waiting for ministerial instructional check.
If your file hss been included in the MI list they will encash your payment method in s short while

CIC also suggested that it is not necessary thst any file sent now will be included in the cap by the time it reaches CIO. That mesns there would be more files that reached before your or my file reached.
the best way to know is to check whether your fee has been cashed or not

Somewhere on CIC site CIC told earlier that for FSW 2014 the last day when they will accept applications will be Dec 19. Anything else which reached them after that date- will not be accepted.

Oh really. I have read it like 31st December.
May be you are right my experience in this is limited.
but definitely its not a good news

I checked with my CC company just a couple days ago and they didn't see anything. Am with Capital One and every transaction gets posted immediately and would show in the pending section for two days. CIC is defiinitely working today and tomorrow. Am not arguing with you or anything. Just wanted to assure you that they are :)
CIC is only going for holidays on 25, 26, 27 & 28.

Sorry, guys, I am not going to look up that info on this forum again. Somebody gave that info.

you do not understand the process. Nothing happens in the banks immediately. And definitely not in a case when there is a request from one party (CIC) and fulfillment at another (bank).

I am pretty confused what you both are arguing on.
Shall we discuss about something else.
for example I send my file on 16 October. Received by cio on 20th October.
I kept DD for fee payment.
Flashback: I applied earlier in May and I got rejected due to a payment issue.
my CC got cancelled when my application was 2 months and 8 days old.
and eventually my file got rejected.
So to be safer I kept DD.
I applied under 3233. I am a student in BC. I hold 3 licenses in Canada in my profession.
My noc is cold.
I did mention my UCI as I didn't know thst it was same for all the applications we make in Canada.
But everyone said omission of UCI is not a ground for rejection.

NOW PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ARE MY CHANCES.
THANK YOU

A QUICK CORRECTION I DIDN'T MENTION MY UCI

Got cc charged on 17 december
