As a family of 3, my spouse and I both have completed Canada Citizenship test and got the update in tracker as well. But my child has still not passed Background verification. Is this normal?

Citizenship Test Passed: Feb 18th (Updated in Tracker of Feb 20th)

Yes my theory is that LPP for everyone will end up take the same amount of time since they have to involve outside agencies and they control the timeline there. The total processing time is probably going to be the same, maybe a tad bit faster.
If I got AOR, but didn't create a tracker account, would I still get an email for the remaining steps? I got AOR at the end ok January, but nothing since, I'm in Canada, SK. But I see many people already got background check or test invite. So want to make sure I didn't screw up by not setting up tracker account

You'll definitely get an email for those steps wherever IRCC requires you to take action :
- Test invite
- Fingerprints letter (if IRCC requires it)
- Interview invite (if IRCC requires it)
- Citizenship ceremony/oath invite
So you don't actually need to setup the tracker to get your citizenship. It's really only needed if you want to check whether any of the other intermediate steps prior to oath invitation are 'done/completed' or not (i.e. Background check & LPP).
You can create a tracker account yourself now if you choose (https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/register), OR just be extra careful to monitor all emails (including junk/spam mailbox) to not miss any request and you should be fine.

I got my test invitation email today Feb 23rd, 2026
Applied on Oct 23rd
AOR: Jan 22nd
background verification: Completed Feb 2nd, 2026 (updated in tracker on Feb 4th)
Test invited: Feb 23rd, 2026 (Tracker hasn't been updated yet)
LPP: In progress

No update in the tracker

Test invitation via email today 23 February
Does it take long to get the code email for tracker? I tried setting up the account when I first posted here and still no email, almost 10hrs, I confirmed the email as it's the one I got the AOR email
