Thank YOU LORD! Finally our trackers say closed and we are finally Canadian citizens.

It’s been almost 8 years since we had applied for Permanent Residency and 5 years since we had landed in Canada as PR. I can’t believe we are now finally Canadians. It’s slowly sinking in especially that I’ve seen the tracker stating application is closed.

That's incorrect. There are many of us who have our backgrounds completed, yet are nowhere near the oath ceremonies. Check the spreadsheet.

Does leaving Canada after test has any effect on the citizenship process? I know you've to vome back to canada for oath. But what about rest of the processes?

Sent my passport application in August and still have not heard a thing. They did say I might not get it until January . I can't believe a simple document takes so long.
