Hi everyone! I am FSW outland, AOR 24 October 2020, MEP 3 Dec 2020. In my country biometrics for FSW are currently closed and I wished to know whether I should wait for them to open or is it worth it visiting another country to give them? Any idea how much of the application gets processed without biometrics and how much after? Thanks!

FSW Inland, AOR October 28th here, periodic reminder that FSW (inland or outland) should not worry about PR at least for 9 months. That was the average processing time in 2019, pre pandemic. We will be lucky if we get PR by October 2021.

I would recommend that my fellow FSWs not ask for case notes until 8-9 months. There is no reason to expect progress until then and it will just tie IRCC up. There's no reason to worry until then guys :)

If we got our AOR in October 2020 some of our application would be processed by now right? Its already been 4 months. 9 more months seems a bit too long after an entire year of inadeqaute processing by IRCC..

The truth is the truth haha. I'd prefer for processing times to be what they were back in 2018, but its a different world. There is literally zero reason to expect that FSW processing will be faster for us than it was in 2019. Set your expectations at a year and maybe we get lucky. They aren't going to issue COPR until the borders open and that isn't happening until everyone is vaccinated.

God forbid. Mine would not take 9 months. (Outland) Already ordered case notes. You’re inland so it’s ok for you to say 9 months.

No it’s not the truth. Maybe you can wait for over a year if you don’t mind. Applications vary, some October AORs have received PPRs. Accra VO will issue PPRs soon.

I have not done my biometrics yet. After they process biometrics any idea what stages the application goes through till PPR?
My experience, and from what I read here....40 days after AOR, i have medical and Bio updated in profile. From then, anything can happen...

How long it is going to take is independent of how much we want it. Obviously I'm better off than FSW outland, but less so than CEC. It's the truth either way lol. You don't have control over it.

I hope that's should not be the case but I have seen in one of the forums that a FSW-O with Aug AOR got his PPR in January and COPR in Feb.
So we inlands atleast have a better chance of getting approval sooner

COPR are now on hold due to restrictions. This is not applicable to inland applicants

I doubt if Accra would issue PPR or COPR now.

Hard to believe but everything is looking Like pre March 18. No outland draws, No PPR and even COPR cannot travel. I hope IRCC platform doesn't crash by April.

Can you please tell me what is your background status?
Did it ever change during the process?
also, did you get any ghost updates?
just trying to see the pattern how they process PNP inland.
thank you!
