Through Express Entry is 6 months in average. If you are one of the lucky ones, it could be 3-4 months.

My AoR is also october 6. We should expect some update in about two weeks (To reach medicals passed status, it is aprox 25-30 days after AoR)
It depends. My fend got her ppr in 17 days after AOR. .maybe processing time different for one who already have canada visitor visa

I am not sure that having Canada visitor visa helps to fasten the process. I have it too but I am still waiting for the medicals passed update (tomorrow I will be 60days post AOR).
But medicals check are done simultaneously to other checks, that’s what I understand. So we should wait patiently and hope that our PPR will come in less than 6 months :)

Hi,
I would like to share this extract from IRCC webpage in order to not start panicking if your MEP status is not yet received (like my case):
“If you’re applying as a permanent resident, it takes about three months to process your results after we get them from the panel physician. After that, if we don’t need any other documents from you, we’ll tell you what to do next.”

the number of ITAs issued this year is not too far higher than 2017 though. I am guessing that the backlog may have been building since last year

Exactly, also the time to submit application post ITA is now 60 days compared to 90 days before, so more backlog.
