If you look in the spreadsheet you will see the average for AOR is 19 days for us October applicants.
X in front of your application number means it's temporary, it will be removed since they start processing. Once the X disappear you should get your AOR the next day or so.

Is it weird that my medicals are still in process even though we have already received SA and it has gotten transferred to Ottawa? It just seems like most people's medicals are passed before SA.

Thanks!!

Hello Everyone,

It is great seeing everyone helping each other here.

I applied for my wife through a lawyer on Oct 26, 2016. I am just wondering, if there is any way I can see the status of my application online? I read somewhere you guys can see status of the application before the email comes through from CIC. If you could please provide me the link or share some info on this matter.

Please note, I have not received any emails yet from CIC.

Thanks!

Still waiting for SA, and my application status just changed to review in progress yesterday:( the medicals have been in review for over a week.
How much longer is this going to take, its been 11 days since AOR and i think we passed the general processing time for sponsorship by a couple days :(

Yeah it was my AOR. They send me an email to notify me about it. It took around 2-3 weeks. However, is it normal that I still couldn't check my application status on CIC?
if you get your uic you should connect with your monCic normaly... if you respect all steps there is no prb...

Hi Guys,

Can anyone please clarify me here:

I am completing the Generic Application Form (IMM 0008) for family sponsorship outside Canada. I am wondering if I should include my spouse (the sponsor) and my son (all Canadians) details in the application form. This is the part where it says, DEPENDENT(S): "You must provide the following details about each of your family members.......".

Also, does my wife (my sponsor) also need to complete the form IMM5406E, Additional family information and the IMM5669E form, background declaration?

Thank you so much for your help.

I am sponsoring my wife. On IMM 0008 she wrote her information and then my information in the spouse section. On that form, there was no part to enter our daughter's information since she is Canadian so is not considered a dependent in this case.

Only you as the applicant need to complete IMM 5406E. Your wife's information will be on there as your spouse along with your son's information.

Again, IMM 5669E is just for you as the applicant to fill out.

Basically, the forms are general in nature so that they can be used for all kinds of residency applications, not just family/spouse types. In a lot of cases, the family members who are already Canadian (i.e. your sponsor and likely your children) do not need to fill out their own forms.

I hope that helps.

HI Xnay,

Your comment helps so much. One more think I will appreciate clarification is, you mean your wife just added you as her spouse, but not on the dependent section?
Thank you.

After it takes you back, try going back to the log in page from home page. Sometimes it will take you to secret question step.

If that doesn't work, try using the private browsing mode.
