Hello Everyone,

I got a message from CIC requesting passport for the confirmation of PR under CEC.
I was wondering how much time it takes for them to send to process and send it back?

Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for the wishes.
Here is my timeline.

I applied on June 24th for PR under CEC. And I got message saying the process is almost complete on Oct 6th.
I have sent the passport on Oct 9th for confirmation and now I am just waiting for them to process and send back the passport.

Thank you

June 24 2015 ? are you EE- CEC applicant?

Yes. I applied under Express Entry- CEC.

Can we ask the express entry applicants to please post their questions under EE topic?
This section of the forum is for pre 2015 applicants to track progress and share thoughts. It is very confusing for EE applicants to post their timelines here.
It also adds more frustration to us as all of us here have waited over a year.
Thank you.

Hey Congratulations My Friend.

Please any one answer my question.

With interval of 5 months, for the Past 3 years, I have 2.6 years of Canadian experience. But when I try to place this experience in the express entry application, It's allocating points for only 1 year of experience. Is there any special way to showcase our experience in different manner.

Right now i am at 440 point, My application was been picked up from the pool, if i would have got point for my total 2.6 years of Canadian experience.

Please post your comments and suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Mahesh, that's because you don't have 2 years of continuous experience.

Two continuous "1 year experience" separated by a period of unemployment/studies/etc do not add up to 2 years of continuous experience.

Was there some gap in your 2.6 years of experience?

Hi Zareef Bhai,

Thank you very much for your reply and information...!

In my case, it's not unemployment or studies....! i came to Canada on company onsite assignment. So After completing a year of work. I went back and came after 5 months later. In this 5 months gap, I worked from my Indian office. So will it not be considered for 2 years of CE...?

Please let me know if you have suggestion....!

hey guys , first of all congrats to advaitk and i have one regarding work experience under CEC (EE).

Unfortunately no, because that 5 months is not considered Canadian experience - so it does not add to the points you get from Canadian experience.
So you only get points for 1 year of continuous Canadian experience.

You seem to be eligible for CEC with 9 months - gap - 5 months of qualifying experience (NOC 0/A/B), but you won't get points for Canadian experience in your EE profile.

And like Astro said, you might want to ask EE questions in the EE section:
