OCTOBER 2014 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS!

Hi everyone,
I sent my application on oct 19 and delivered on 20. I have updated spreadsheet too

Mine was delivered on the expected day but Canada post didn't update the status. Status shows signature too.

I checked the status yesterday, and Canada Post has updated to include the name of the signatory. I'm relieved. I'm expecting an answer on SA approval by mid December, so fingers crossed!

I sent out my application on October 21st and it was received on October 22nd. I joined this forum today (wish I had done earlier) and realized that there are newer versions of form IMM1344 and IMM0008. After digging in deeper I realized that for most people, CIC would send an email requesting the out-dated forms. For some people they return the whole application. I just hope that is not the case with me. I will get the new forms filled up and ask my wife to sign them so that I have it ready as soon as I hear back from them.

Does anyone think it is a good idea to send the new forms without the CIC asking for it?

I made sure to check the website for any updated forms before I mailed my application. The forms were updated in August and I am not sure how did you miss that? I would wait for CIC to request those forms. Perhaps someone more experience can give a better answer.

That was negligence on my part. We started filling out our forms back in June (basically when we decided to get married). I never really expected a form update, since most forms were last updated in 2012/2013. Only when I sent out my forms 2 days ago, I started surfing this forum to check the timeline for other people. At this time, I just hope they don't send my application back.

I'm sending my application through Sydney and it looks as though it is quite short processing times.

So, from what I read below, there will be no indication that CIC have received my application until I am actually approved as a sponsor? Why do they want to torture us like that!

How i will know if they already recieved? Its been 15 days from the day he mailed our apllication?
How did you know yours?

Please add me to the spreadsheet. My husband is sponsoring his 12 year old son, born in Florida to live with us in Canada. Just posted the application and it should be in Mississauga by Monday.

Generally the first contact you have will be when the sponsor receives a letter or e-mail from CIC confirming that they are eligible to sponsor. This is currently taking 43 days from the day CIC receives your complete application.

My husband sent out our application on OCT 22 (priority mail - next day delivery) but until now, tracking shows that it's still "out for delivery". It's been like that for a few days now and I'm really worried but I'm still hoping for the best.

I sent ours on the 24th (Friday) and it got there today - the 27th (Monday).

Hi All,

We had initially filed out application on Sept 5. CIC asked us to send the updated forms (two if those) on Oct 9. We send the updated files on Oct 16, and was received on Oct 17.
Hope to hear back from them about SA soon, it has been over 11 days since we sent out the updated forms.
