I wrote my local MP and the MP for Immigration and suprisingly both of their assistants got back to me. Unfortunately all they could do was to email CEC for an update. I guess it was faster then the month to get GCMS notes but the answer was still the same. My case is still in security review, has been since last July. No updates though as to what the issue is.

I find it funny it is taking this long but you watch TV Shows like Border Security and see that they find these things instantly, so for this to take 9mos is a very long time. I'm told my case is up for review again this month so fingers are crossed something will be updated.

Yeah I know. What they show is they do background checks and security check in minutes. I don't why they are taking so much time.

i finally got my PR, did my landing on weekend saturday, as per the procedure i went to fort erie (peace bridge) went to buffalo, where they gave me an administrative refusal.

US customs was really weird, they took me in their room, searched my car, asked few questions that how long have you been in canada, have you ever been to united states, what is the relationship between you and your wife and where do you work?

took me 25 mins altogether then i went back to Canadian customs, gave them my declaration list of stuff that is coming from back home, they didn't ask me any questions and finally i got my landing done, it was a nice experience amazing weather for a long drive

p.s don't make a uturn at peace bridge they will not approve your immigration, you have to go to states or any other country to proof them that you left country.

I should believe it means send passport to the Canadian embassy in whatever country he resides ehn.

congrats to you. I am still waiting for them Since i submitted Med in Oct. It just got updated as medical received last Friday. Hope i will receive ppr soon.
