CIC neither accepts Certificate of Date of Birth issued by CGI nor Educational Certificate (School records) as evidence of DOB. You can submit these as additional docs but AFFIDAVIT remains as the primary evidence of DOB accepted by CIC.

Please arrange to get birth certificate from India.
If you are not successful, try to produce an affidavit.
One of my friend's application was returned back since he hadn't attached birth certificate (he just forwarded the date of birth certificate from VFS global)

Thanks for your advice guys I really appreciate. I will confirm in India If any can get it Issued or I will get the affidavit from lawyer.

Andy,

I applied my application under FSW - Arrange employment and my lawyer said its fine not have birth certificate if educational ceritificates are there. My application was reviewed and accepted by Nova Scotia and forwarded to Buffalo for further processing.

Now its with CPP - Ottawa ...

hi there,

Can someone help me plz convert the ielts scores to canadian language benchmark. ive been trying so long to figure it all out n till now i have no answer. Im applying to Canadian expereince class ( skill type 0 ).

Im required to have Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs) of 7 in each ability or 6 in one ability, 7 or more in two abilities and at least 8 in one ability.

My ielts scores are:

Listening : 6
Reading : 5.5
writing : 6
Speaking : 7.5

i used the new conversion chart but till now im still confused .

im hoping to get an answer plzzzzz.

Hi bravemen,

My application was received on 1st nov ..so probably I should post in November thread. Though I have a question how long should I expect for whole process to get over. I read some people got passport request in 6 months.
