looks like Summer and Strike are the reasons for delay.

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/09/10/foreign_service_job_action_threatens_canadas_annual_immigration_target.html

Foreign service job action threatens Canada's annual immigration target:
The number of immigrant visas granted from this summer dropped 7.5 per cent, while temporary visitor visas were up 11 per cent.

Yeah.. Some lucky people would still get it in time, but many applications will be looked at on the next BFD or near the due date, which is a year after the date of AOR.

I don't think you got what they were saying. They meant more Temporary workers are getting their applications approved which is the exact opposite of what you were saying that there are delays.

Maybe for you, but not for everyone. You can only speak on your own behalf. Mine has actually been good progress.

In Toronto Star & Metro newspapers, they say that immigration is down by 2.5%. So its slow for everyone. Dont loose hope. Everything works out eventually. And those who claim their process is fast, they are just day dreaming. So dont bog down by wrong claims.

That figure is very vague. Is it overall is it for cec, investors? CEC has gotten faster in the last while due to CIC making it more efficient.

Well.. It's a simple math. The number of people getting their PR or MR has dropped down and it's a fact.
And that means the processing is now slower. Being asked for PCC after 9 months is not "good process" to be honest, considering it used to take less before the strike.
You may be like 2 months behind. If you didn't submit your PCC in the time specified in the PCC request email, a new BFD must have been set, which will cause another weeks or months delay on your case.

You don't know what you're talking about. You're right It is simple math, but you're not doing it correctly because there is no context. If overall issued PR applications are down, does not mean that CEC (which the other user posted has gone up) goes down. It just means overall. That's actually a good thing for people applying via CEC as they are more likely to get a PR issued.

Secondly can you prove it used to take less time on Average and not a case by case basis? I don't think so. You clearly are just talking based on your feelings and opinions and not on facts. Others have presented facts and what you say is the exact opposite of those facts.

Also every case is different you seem to fail to understand that. I submitted my PCC way before it was due. It is due in November and I submitted it early September, and the RCMP finger prints were due in September, and I did them the same day I got the email (mid July). Trust me you don't know what you're talking about.

And where is the source CEC is processed faster than before?
What are the sources that make you think there are more CEC applicants approved?

I would be very happy to see them if you have.
If you don't it's just your imagination.

well it is true that last year the processing time mentioned on the CIC website was 13 months, whereas now it is stated as 12 months......

Guys, take it easy. We're all anxious and none of us know what the CIC's inner workings are like. No need to fight over unknowns.

See it seems you also don't know how to read. I said mine was not slowed down by CIC, it was my police report. I also said others have posted facts that they got from reliable news sources. So again you don't know what you are talking about and you are trying to put words in my mouth. Reread the posts again and you'll see.

Yeah that was based off the facts that the other poster made. You really are not reading so I'm going to ignore you. Go back and read all posts before making claims.

So here seems to be another one that posts based on his own opinion.
I will admit i was wrong if you get yours finalized in 13 months. You'll see

Ill see? Haha you have a vendetta against me now? What a loser. I never said mine will be fast. I said you can't say it's going slower without proof. And the reason mine was slower was because it took me around 2 months to get the police report because its not easy. So if you negate that it will be definitely under 13 months.
