A friend of mine from September just received MR yesterday. I think different VOs process it differently. Some will issue MRs after eligibility check, but some wait until criminality is complete.

Got my GCMS today . Just to give you some info
1st applied for gcms on 15th may and got on 16 June on CD (35 pages)
2nd time applied on 17th June and got on 12 July via email (47 pages)
Applied again today

Ecase status is still application received!!

GCMS says

1) Eligibility = In progress ( but i met all the requirements according to gcms)
2) Security = In progress (Rcmp finger prints were required and was already submitted)
3) Criminality = In process
4) Medical = In progress ( done in advance and they have received my medicals)

On 2nd page of my gcms file it says:

APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT
Assigned To:
Assigned By:
Due Date: 2013/07/27

So I guess I'm hoping something before 27th July

My ecas status has changed to Medicals received on 13 July(Saturday) and Decision Made on 14 July(Sunday) ;D. I am waiting for PPR. I hope It comes soon.By the way I applied as a family.

Yes it is ok to apply for gcms notes many times and it doesn't make any affect in processing time. Use information act

Just make sure you dont apply for one till your earlier applied comes in your email.

If you make atip request, before your earlier request is sent to you, the new request will cancel your earlier request. This means, that now you will have to wait for another month to get the gcms.

I am an October 2012 applicant as well.

I applied on 11-10-2012. Received MR on 11-07-2013.I am planning to get the medicals done sometime in next week.
But I am yet to receive RPRF, Bio Data emails. How long does it take generally after receiving MR email?
