I don't think they are delaying it on purpose. If you think about it, Indian nationals are one of the top PR immigrants so naturally when you have Brampton with its residents being majority of South Asians, you are going to have a lot of them applying for citizenship strictly on the number of applications coming from Brampton. There is no doubt there is a lot of applications for Mississauga office. Not only Mississauga has to deal with Brampton applicants they also have to deal with Mississauga residents as well. It is expected that Mississauga office will be one of the slowest due to strictly dealing with large number of applications and limited office space for testing / oath.

Remember that the spreadsheet info only contains a small percentage of applicants. Now imagine how many more applications Mississauga office have to deal with.

I see that there is finally some movement coming out of Scarborough. 5 test invites (16-17 July). While none of it are Brampton applicants, just happy that it is finally moving along. June 26 was the last activity for test invite out of Scarborough. Some of the Brampton applicants may end up going there. A friend of ours (Brampton applicant) had her test done there.

All of us from Brampton would be writing test in mississauga?

Brampton applicants will either end up at Scarborough or at Mississauga. Majority of them will likely go to Mississauga. This strictly based on the October list. I didn't compare in Nov or Dec applicants

My status is:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 6, 2017.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 18, 2017.

3. We started processing your application on January 19, 2018.

@mumbai1985 congrats to you too and rest of ppl who havent received it hang in there, should be there soon seems like they have reached our stack of applications
