OCT2017 Brampton Citizenship applicants

Hi All,

Starting this thread for people who applied from Brampton for citizenship post c-6 in month of october 2017


The reason for starting this individual thread is that it seems Brampton seems to be the slowest compared to all locations and so really cant seem to know the processing times.

Till now 2 from Brampton seemed to have received test invites and hopefully all of us with IP between Dec1-20 get our invites within the week

not sure since aquareo mentioned their test centre is in scarborough, at this point its strange on how yours IP is nov24, 2017 and you still have not received anything

Hope so. Btw, I see a bunch of Mississauga folks waiting for test invite even with in process before mine.

Yeah its not weird. My application also was IP Nov 23rd & still waiting for a test invite.
Based on Brampton times, I am not expecting an invite very soon.
Hope I am wrong.

So frustrating this is for all of us, like such BS. sorry have to vent but Hamilton/Oakville/Toronto/Scarborough /Ssuaga everywhere people with IP before all of us are getting test invites

I just saw a hamilton guy with january IP getting test invite, like seriously wtf!!

Can we do something about it?
Talk/write/complain to somebody?

Technically, they will still complete the process within 12 months, but it seems other regions are considerably faster than Brampton.

not much can be done, they will just say 12 months is the processing time. no option but to suck it up by watching everyone before us getting it and wait

Guys, Brampton is technically CPC-Mississauga.

We do realize but unless completely coincidental, it seems that Brampton applications are not processed at the same pace.

In other words, applications from Mississauga and Toronto are moving faster than Brampton applications.
Note: that there are applicants from Toronto being processed in CPC-Mississauga.

Called cic. My file is still in Sydney. Agent said everything is in order and no information is requested from me. He said it will go to Mississauga office but didn't provide a specific timeline.

I thought "in process" meant that Sydney have finished reviewing and sent the file to the corresponding local office.
Apparently I am wrong.

After the central / initial assessment (aka document checks) there's nothing like 'this city or that'. It is all CPC based. Entire Peel region goes to CPC-Mississauga, unless there's a capacity overflow - in which case some files are moved to other places in the GTA (mostly to St. Claire).

let me call them on tuesday as well and ask where it is most likely it is still in Sydney as well,as by now something would have happened if it was here

Is it possible that Sydney is taking some load of doing background, security checks etc ?
