How much time does the CIC ppl take to respond back to our Queries/Mails...
Bcas.. i am waiting for thr reply from 15 days... Does it depend on the processing center we choose? If so.. Delhi processing center is real slow......

Even I got a response after 5 to 6 days for my first mail, but I had sent a followup query to which they responded on the same day. So it is not consistent, sometimes they might choose not to respond at all. Could be based on the processing center also but not sure about that. I would say there is nothing to worry about even if you don't get a response from them.

Hi guys, I would like to ask a question:
My friend got MR one month ago.
The Ecas still shows "application received".
Normally this status should be changed to "in process" in a couple of days after MR, right?
There is no further e-mails/instructions from CPC-O.
Anyone has the same/similar situations?
Appreciate for any advise.

Is there anyone else from Oct '13 who hasn't received MR yet? My application is In Process and I've received RPRF and biodata more than a month ago...

There is no "normal". In most cases it does change shortly after receiving the MR, some applicants
see the change before they receive the MR and some receive the MR and wait for weeks in order
for the ECAS status to change.
Don't rely on ECAS, it's like reading yesterday's newspaper - always outdated.

Hi guys,

My boyfriend and I did the medicals in May 5th and on the 9th they were uploaded. Our ECAS did not change so I started to be worried.

Today I received a letter from the CIC asking me for additional medical test to be carried out.

When the immigration doctor saw me, mentioned that my thyroid looked big and that I should go to be checked out. Next day I went to the doctor and did a blood test and it turned out that I have hyperthyroidism. I am on medication right now but it doesn´t seem to be something serious.

I thought immigration looks for serious illness, I am afraid that I get refuse because of this since I could never reapply.

All the process is delayed now and my current visa is expiring in July 17th. Any advise??

I don't think there is anything you should be concerned about. If you are on medication and your doctor says it's not serious, you are fine. Just take the additional tests as they have outlined for you. Meanwhile try to extend your visa, I'm not sure how you can go about this one, is it a work permit or a visitor or a...? Worst case scenario try to get yourself a visitor permit. Provide all the documentations and write a cover letter explaining what you are going through right now and that you are waiting for the outcome of your PR application.

You should be fine, sit tight and do what they are asking for. Keep your chin up and hope for the best, you're almost there.
