There are different types of document requests for AINP H1-B applicants. AINP sometimes asks for documents missing in the original application (such as signatures on application form) or documents which needs to be updated (such as H1-B status if it needs to be renewed). The document request (email) you receive just before AINP issues nomination will be similar to the following:

· A copy of the candidate’s most recent pay stub
· A copy of the candidate’s current and valid H1B visa or I-797 Notice of Approval
· Details regarding any changes to the candidate’s employment situation
· Address update, if there have been any changes
· Details regarding any changes to the candidate’s family composition

Dear ******

The application submitted on behalf of ******** is under review. At this time we require the following:

1. Candidate's personal telephone number

2. Candidate's personal e-mail address

3. A copy of the candidate's most recent pay stub

4. A copy of the candidate's current and valid H1B visa or I-797 Notice of Approval (if status has or conditions of employment has changed)

5. A detailed job description on company letterhead (if there has been a change in employment)

6. Candidate's address update (if there have been any changes)

7. Please advise if the candidate has become a permanent resident / green card holder of the U.S.

8. Please advise if the candidate has left the U.S.

9. Please advise if the candidate has secured a job offer in Alberta

10. Under Section G, Program Evaluation of the AINP application form AINP 009 (or ABPNP 003), a personal contact of the candidate (friend or family member) should be provided rather than the authorized representative's name. This section is for follow up 1 and 3 years after landing.

Failure to provide any of the requested information may have a negative impact on the final decision.

We would prefer that you reply by email, including scanned copies of the requested documents. Otherwise, you may fax the requested items to my attention at the number below.

Jasper, How long it normally take to get the nomination after this request? BTW, I don't even get FIle # before I got this request...... It is really a surprise///

I think If I got nomination, that means the H1b Program in Alberta are still faster than FSW and still alive.

Congratulations, vollog! It looks like the document request for their final decision.

It used to take only 2-3 weeks after the document request (in Nov-Dec 2009), but now it seems to take about a month to receive nomination certificate by mail.

And it is very surprising that your case is being processed so fast (even without file number!), but it may be related to your occupation. What is your NOC code?

Again, congratulations!
