Oath date - how many days in advance were you notified?

Two questions to those of you who already got the oath dates:

  1. How many days in advance were you notified about your oath date?
  2. How were you notified about your oath date? (was it an email or did you first see an update in the online tracker that the oath is scheduled?)

1. Dashboard update came in 18 days before oath. Oath email received 14 days before oath date.
2. Dashboard updates comes first. Then comes the email.

Email comes as close as 1 business day before the oath. It varies greatly because it depends on officer and the office, same like we saw for gap between test and test invites, which varied from office to office and file to file.
You can see easily glance about others data on the number of days between oath invite to oath from the tracker sheet itself. Not everyone is going to post here.

Does everyone get a call from the agent a day or two before the oath?
THey might call if oath gets cancelled(like they are calling for interview cancellation sometimes). if one misses the call anyway they would find out in oath day. Why are you asking? No one knows how they work. Its better to attend all calls.

There are instances where rarely one or two were sent home on oath day during pre-pandemic. Recently they are postponing the dates too rarely. So keep your communications open in all modes.

Because my friend got a call from the agent one day before his oath, in the evening around 7 pm, to talk him through the process the next day. I wondered if that's the regular modus operandi.

Yeah some people do receive a call from IRCC, not everyone. For me, they called on August 3rd and told me my application is approved and the soonest they can schedule me for oath is August 23rd. She didn't explain anything about the ceremony. All applicants will receive an oath invite email which will explain the process in detail.
